Southern California has been experiencing more windy days than normal this season. Because of these conditions, it was reported that as many as five big-rigs overturned on San Bernardino Freeways in a period of three hours. It was a hectic time for motorists and emergency personnel.
The first rollover accident occurred in the early morning hours in Rancho Cucamonga, causing a fuel spill and causing the lanes to be closed for almost five hours - during the morning rush hour.
Less than two hours later, close to the first incident, two more big-rigs overturned. Within another hour, two more big-rigs rolled over in the same area.
According to the California Highway Patrol, no injuries were reported. The big-rigs may have sustained damage, but it was lucky that no one was hurt.
