According to California Highway Patrol officers, a tow truck driver helping a stranded motorist on Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass was rushed to a trauma center.
It seems he was in the middle of hooking the stalled van to his tow truck when a small vehicle rear-ended another car and then the van - the impact sent the van crashing into the tow truck operator. He sustained major injuries to his legs and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The two people in the stalled van suffered minor injuries but refused treatment. CHP officers are investigating to determine why this happened.
I wish the tow truck driver a speedy recovery. He would be wise to contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney to investigate the incident for him and help him receive compensation for his injuries, expenses and lost wages.
