A 25-year old man was killed the other night when he was a passenger in a vehicle that hit a tree and rolled over in Pomona.
The Coroner's office reported that he was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the car. The 24-year old driver fled the scene on foot, but turned himself in at the Pomona Police Department later that day.
The driver was arrested and booked on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter. He is being held on $50,000 bail. It has not been determined if he was driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
I urge them to contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney to see if they are entitled to file a wrongful death lawsuit against the driver in order to be compensated for their tragic loss and any expenses incurred because of his negligent actions.
