According to the U. S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Best Buy Co., Inc. has issued a recall of approximately 31,000 iPhone battery cases sold at their stores and online from April 2010 through September 2011 for between $10 and $60. The recall involves Rocketfish Model RF-KL12 mobile battery cases for iPhones 3G and 3GS
that were manufactured in China. The company has received numerous reports that the battery case can overheat while charging, posing a fire hazard. In addition, there were three reports of minor burns to consumers and four reports of minor property damage.
