A 23-year old Pomona man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol after driving on the wrong side of the 91 Freeway and crashing head-on with another vehicle the other morning. The crash killed a 53-year old woman and seriously injured three other people. They were taken to nearby hospitals.
CHP officers received calls of a wrong-way driver on the 241 and 91 Freeways early Sunday morning.
California Vehicle Code Section 23152 states that, "It is unlawful for any person who is under the influence of any alcoholic beverage or drug, or under the combined influence of any alcoholic beverage and drug, to drive a vehicle."
If you are injured or a family member killed due to a driver that is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, it is important that you contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who will investigate the facts and make sure you are compensated for your injuries and expenses. In addition, if someone you love has been killed, a wrongful death lawsuit will be filed. The accident could have been prevented had the driver not gotten behind the wheel of his or her vehicle.
