The California Highway Patrol reported that a 25-year old motorcyclist who was speeding on Interstate 15 was killed when he struck a big-rig truck. Reports indicate he may have been trying to pass the truck. The driver of the flatbed big-rig left the scene of the accident, leaving the victim who sustained fatal injuries.
California Vehicle Code Section 20001(a) states, "The driver of a vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury to a person, other than himself or herself, or in the death of a person shall immediately stop the vehicle at the scene of the accident."
An investigation is underway to determine what happened. There is even a reward for those with information leading to the arrest of the driver.
