A 34-year old Hesperia man riding his bicycle after dark the other night was killed when he was struck by a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
California law requires bicyclists when they ride after dark to make sure they are wearing light-colored clothing, have good brakes, a front lamp with a visible white light that can be seen at 300 feet, a rear red reflector that is visible at 500 feet, and white or yellow pedal reflectors.
Officers are investigating to determine why he was riding after dark and what happened to cause his death.
The victim's family would be served well by hiring an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney to investigate the case for them. They may be entitled to substantial compensation for this person's death.
