The U. S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced that Toy Truck Gifts, which were sold at Kohl's stores between February and March 2012, are being recalled for a potential fire hazard.
Kohl's gave away approximately 9,000 trucks with the purchase of a Happy Shirts Co. boy's tee shirt for about $20. Reports indicate that connections in the truck's battery compartment can cause the truck to catch on fire, posing a fire and burn hazard to the consumer.
The Happy Shirts Co. has received one report of a toy truck catching on fire and three reports of toy trucks smoldering when the batteries were inserted. However, no injuries were sustained.
The recall involves Big Movers four-inch long blue trucks with oversized tires and a flashing light on top that were given away with the purchase of a Big Movers tee shirt. Happy Shirts Co is offering a refund to anyone who has one of these trucks.
If your child has been injured after playing with one of these trucks, contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who will investigate your case to determine if you are entitled to compensation for your child's injuries and medical expenses.
