The weekend did not end well for one San Bernardino driver who backed into a fuel pump at a gasoline station. He not only ignited a gas station fire that incinerated his car and the gas pump, but he left his burning car near the station and fled the scene.
Once fire crews got there, they activated an emergency shut-off value that prevented the flames from spreading any further. The man walked to his home which was a little over a mile away. His family called paramedics to treat an injury he suffered to his leg.
The accident is under investigation to determine why this happened and the cost of the damages. The man has not been arrested as yet but he could face criminal hit-and-run charges.
