A woman travelling on Interstate 10 in Rialto early in the morning was seriously injured when her vehicle collided with a fire truck parked alongside the freeway - trapping her inside her car.
According to a San Bernardino County Fire Department spokeswoman, the firefighters were returning to their vehicle when a female driver struck the back of the fire truck, causing her vehicle to become entrapped under the truck. The firefighters used the Jaws of Life to free the woman; the four firefighters were not injured. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
California Highway Patrol officers are investigating to determine what caused the woman to crash into the fire truck.
It would be wise for the woman to seek the advice of an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney to discuss her rights and options.
