Statistics show that fire is the fifth leading cause of death in the United States. The San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to a two-alarm fire at the Moose Lodge in Lucerne Valley early the other morning.
The fire resulted from an electrical problem and caused approximately $400,000 in damage. It took firefighters several hours to put out the fire because there were no fire hydrants in the area.
Fire can do extensive property damage and personal injury to its victims. The firefighters were successful in keeping the flames from spreading to other parts of the building and due to the early hour of the fire, no one was injured.
In most cases people are responsible for causing fires that cause personal injury and property damage. Officers are investigating to determine what caused this electrical fire.
