The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating possible problems with two Chrysler vehicles: 1) the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV and 2) the 2009-2010 model year Ram 1500 pickups.
They have received numerous complaints about the rear wheels locking up on the Ram 1500 pickups and power steering fluid leaking and catching fire when it drips on hot surfaces in the Grand Cherokee.
The Ram 1500 problem potentially affects about 230,000 pickups, while the Grand Cherokee problems affect more than 105,000 SUVs. At this time, the vehicles have not been recalled.
When a vehicle has a defective part, this can be particularly frightening. Legally, when a product is faulty or defective, the manufacturer can be held liable. If you are driving one of these vehicles and are injured, contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who will evaluate the situation, advise you of what to expect, how to move forward, and protect your best interests all the way.
