As a follow-up to last week's report on a bicyclist that was killed by a hit-and-run driver, a man has been arrested and charged with the death.
A 25-year old bicyclist was killed after a driver hit him and then fled the scene. Thanks to witnesses who gave the police a good description of the fleeing vehicle, they were able to find and identify the suspect. Detectives, with a search warrant, found the described dark red Corvette convertible in the man's garage - complete with damage consistent with damages that occurred during the collision.
The suspect was taken into custody and charged with hit-and-run resulting in the death or injury of another person. His bail was set at $100,000. Thanks to concerned citizens, the fleeing driver was located.
