The California Highway Patrol was called to the scene of an accident in Fontana recently. When they arrived they found an 18-year old Ontario man trapped behind the wheel of his vehicle.
Reports indicate that the man's vehicle struck the back of a stopped tractor-trailer and was stuck under the back of the trailer. After extricating him from the vehicle he was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after. A passenger in the vehicle was also taken to the hospital where he was treated.
The CHP is investigating the accident to determine what happened. Why did this man strike the back of a tractor-trailer that was stationary? Was he speeding? Was he intoxicated? Was he fatigued? All of these questions and others need to be answered.
I also wish the passenger a speedy and complete recovery. If you are injured because of the negligence of another person's actions, it would be wise to contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who can investigate your case to determine if you are entitled to compensation for your injuries, expenses and pain and suffering.
