Driving and using drugs

A new California survey shows that one in seven drivers had drugs in their system. Some had legal and some had illegal. More and more drivers are testing positive for drugs, such as marijuana, than they are for alcohol.

Disneyland employee was injured

We've all heard that Disneyland is the "Happiest Place on Earth". However, it wasn't too happy for a contract employee who was cleaning the roof on the ride Space Mountain. The man wore a harness that was tied with a rope to an anchor when he slipped after a rope came loose. He was still in the harness when he slid about 20 feet.

Bicyclist killed in a car accident

A 20-year old bicyclist was struck by a vehicle at an intersection recently. He was taken to a local hospital where he died shortly after from his injuries. The driver, who also sustained minor injuries, was taken to the hospital for treatment.

DUI suspect crashes into a street sweeper

An Ontario street sweeper who was stopped on the side of the road in the wee hours of the morning got hit by an alleged drunk woman driver. The driver and her passenger were injured and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Passenger killed in an auto crash

Car accidents happen every day, injuring and killing thousands of people. When those accidents are caused by the negligence of another person and someone is killed, the families of the victim can file a wrongful death lawsuit against the responsible party.

Vehicle crash due to a distracted driver

A driver, who was too busy with his cell phone to pay attention to the road ahead of him, crashed head-on into a vehicle with an elderly couple in it. The man was killed and the woman suffered major injuries. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Pedestrian killed in Joshua tree

A 46-year old man, while crossing the street in Joshua tree, was killed when a vehicle struck him. The 21-year old driver and his two passengers were not injured.

Teen drivers

Did you know that teen drivers represent less than 10 percent of licensed drivers today? However, what is important to note is that they also represent approximately 20 percent of fatal accidents on the roads today.
