A driver, who was too busy with his cell phone to pay attention to the road ahead of him, crashed head-on into a vehicle with an elderly couple in it. The man was killed and the woman suffered major injuries. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
According to reports, the man's phone rang and as he attempted to pick it up, it dropped on the floor. When he tried to bend down and retrieve it, he veered into the opposite lanes of traffic and collided with the elderly couple's vehicle.
Talking on hand-held cell phones is against the law; however, people still do it. Distracted driving is negligent driving. The family of the deceased man would be wise to contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who will stay on top of the investigation to ensure that their legal rights and best interests are protected.
