An early morning rear-end collision resulted with the vehicle being pushed onto the Metrolink train tracks. The vehicle was then struck by a train.
This could have resulted in a very unfortunate incident; however, the woman driver was able to get out of her vehicle and the train engineer was able to implement an emergency stop. No one was injured.
There was minor damage done to the train and unknown damage done to the vehicle. However, 172 train passengers were late for their location; the train was delayed for almost two hours.
