Although not all motorists recognize it, pedestrians have the right-of-way at crosswalks. With this in mind, hundreds of pedestrians are still injured every year on Southern California roads.
Oftentimes, the motorist who caused the accident claims he or she couldn't see the victim, when, in fact, their inattention or distraction was to blame. Six people were injured the other day when an elderly woman driver reportedly rear-ended another vehicle - causing it to strike three pedestrians and crash into a home. Inside the home, two people were also injured, as well as the elderly driver.
All six people suffered minor to moderate injuries.
