Although October 21-25 marks National School Bus Safety Week, the school day started off pretty badly for some middle-school children. The kids were on the way to school when the school bus was rear-ended by an SUV in San Bernardino.

The San Bernardino County Coroner's office announced that a Fontana man who was hit by an automobile on Foothill Boulevard recently has died. The 52-year old man was walking early in the morning when he was hit; he suffered head trauma and was taken to a local hospital. He died 10 days later.
A 21-year old man riding his bicycle on State Route 247 was struck by a vehicle recently. He died at the scene.
There was another fatal accident on the 15 Freeway. A Chevrolet Corvette with a driver and two passengers went off the 15 Freeway near Barstow the other morning, killing one of the passengers - a young woman of 21.
A 53-year old man from Hesperia lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the back of a Range Rover on the 15 Freeway in Victorville the other day. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
