The California Highway Patrol reported that a 42-year old man driving the wrong way on Interstate 40 recently died in a head-on collision with a semi-truck. Apparently, as the semi was passing a slow-moving vehicle, the driver spotted the wrong-way driver, but could not stop in time to avoid the collision.
The 42-year old man was pronounced dead at the scene while the semi driver suffered minor injuries. There were no other vehicles involved. The CHP is investigating the accident.
