Rancho Cucamonga man dies in bicycle accident

The California Highway Patrol reported that a 44-year old man from Rancho Cucamonga riding his bicycle on Glendora Mountain Road recently crashed into a Toyota Land Cruiser driven by a 56-year old man.

The bicyclist was traveling at about 30 mph while the Toyota was going about 20 mph when they both approached a blind curve in the road. The cyclist was unable to negotiate the curve and swerved into oncoming traffic, hitting the Toyota head-on. He was taken to USC Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Toyota was not hurt.

California Highway Patrol is investigating the scene of the fatal accident to determine what happened.
