Once again we face ourselves with an automobile recall - this time from Hyundai.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced a possible air bag problem with 2007 and 2008 Hyundai Elantra compact cars. The NHTSA reports, "The air bag control module may receive an unstable electrical signal from the seat track position sensory such that, in a crash that requires driver frontal air bag deployment, the driver's air bag may deploy at the higher pressure than intended if the seat was positioned in one of the forward positions in which a lower pressure deployment is intended."
If an accident occurs, there is a risk of injury due to the deployment force of the air bag. Hyundai dealers will reprogram the air bag control module for free.
If you are involved in an accident while driving your Hyundai Elantra and the air bag deploys at great speed, causing you additional injury, contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who will thoroughly explain all details to you and fight for your rights and any compensation owed you for pain and suffering.
