Man piloting an ultra-light aircraft dies

A man piloting, what is known as, an ultra-light aircraft died when he crashed near Joshua Tree dry lake bed the other day.

For those who do not know what the vehicle is, it's a lightweight, one or two-person airplane that looks like a large kite or parachute. The aircraft landed upside down in a field with one wing jutting towards the sky.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department and Aviation Division are investigating the cause of the fatal crash. It was noted that the parachute of the ultra-light vehicle did not deploy. I wonder if the investigation will determine that the aircraft was defective.

Once the investigation is complete, I would suggest the family of the victim consult with an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney to see if they are entitled to file a wrongful death lawsuit and get compensated for their loss.
