Here's a new twist to a driver being chased by a sheriff's deputy in Yucca Valley. He is believed to have caused a brush fire that burned about six acres over the weekend.
It all started when a pickup truck driver did not yield to a sheriff's deputy trying to pull him over. The man continued on the road that led into the desert and before long, for unknown reasons, the truck caught on fire from the dry brush that covers the ground, and started to explode. The flames were climbing the Joshua trees and the entire area was engulfed in flames and smoke.
The driver apparently escaped and at the end of the day, he could not be found; however, police have a description of him. San Bernardino Fire crews spent hours putting out the fire
Because this man refused to stop when sheriff's deputies tried to pull him over, a lot of damage to someone's property was caused. Once police find and arrest him, the man should contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney to find out his next steps.
