Pickup truck runs a stop sign

A recent 26-year old nursing graduate and her mother were heading to the mall recently when they discovered what looked like a junk yard on the side of the road. It didn't take her long to realize that there had been a terrible accident and those were car parts all over the road. A pickup truck crashed into a van after running a stop sign.

Pedestrians - watch out while walking

According to a recent national survey, the San Bernardino-Ontario and Riverside areas ranked fifth in the nation's annual pedestrian fatality rate with 2.5 per 100,000 people. In a period of almost ten years, the counties saw almost 1,000 pedestrian deaths.

Driver and passenger killed in an accident

A 21-year old woman and her front passenger, a 23-year old man on their way to Arizona to visit family and friends were killed around midnight the other night near the city of Needles, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Lead paint poisoning

Lead paint poisoning comes from deteriorating lead-based paint found in homes and apartments built before 1978 - where the paint is peeling, cracking, chipping or flaking off. It was in 1978 that the Federal government banned the use of this type of paint in homes. This is extremely dangerous if a child or toddler is crawling around the floor, picks up paint chips and puts them in his or her mouth.

Motorist kills a female pedestrian

A man rushing away from a group of angry people outside a Victorville nightclub ran over a woman. Apparently, as he tried to leave, the group threw bottles at him, kicked and jumped on his car. When he abruptly put the car in reverse, he struck the woman. He did not stop and fled the parking lot while a security guard fired shots at his vehicle. Police had received an earlier report about a disturbance in the nightclub.

San Bernardino detective killed

A San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department veteran officer was killed while riding his bicycle on an Irvine road the other day. Although he was part of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, he lived in Irvine.

Fatal vehicle accident in San Bernardino

A 21-year old woman driver and her 23-year old passenger were killed in San Bernardino early the other morning after tire tread separation caused their vehicle to go out of control, swerve off the road, and roll over several times. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Frequent vehicle accidents happen due to distractive drivers

Distracted driving frequently causes accidents on California roads. It is an activity that a person engages in that could potentially district him or her from the road ahead. Statistics show that more than 20% of injury crashes are because of distracted driving.

Recall on Circo children's task lamps

t has been proven that the lamps can overheat, causing the adhesive inside the lamp socket to melt and migrate into the bulb area of the socket. Apparently the cooled glue can adhere to the light bulb base - making it difficult to remove the bulk - resulting in a broken light bulb. This poses a risk of fire.

Vehicle plunges 175 feet down

A 34-year old Irvine woman driving near San Bernardino the other morning lost control of her vehicle when she swerved over the double yellow lines, causing it to plunge approximately 175 feet down the side of Highway 330.

Man and woman killed in a car accident

A man and woman driving on the streets of Pomona early in the morning died when they were struck by another vehicle. The impact caused their vehicle to split in half, hit a light pole, and burst into flames - killing them instantly.

Pregnant woman killed in Victorville

It was a horrific scene in Victorville a few nights ago. A 20-year old pregnant woman was killed while her 17-month old daughter sustained minor injuries.
