t has been proven that the lamps can overheat, causing the adhesive inside the lamp socket to melt and migrate into the bulb area of the socket. Apparently the cooled glue can adhere to the light bulb base - making it difficult to remove the bulk - resulting in a broken light bulb. This poses a risk of fire.
The lamps were sold at Target Stores and online at Target.com from January to April 2011 for about $13.
