A 45-year old woman who was a passenger in a vehicle traveling on the 60 Freeway in Chino was killed when the driver lost control and crashed.
According to a report from the California Highway Patrol, the vehicle spun out of control, hit an embankment and overturned, striking a tree. Apparently she was either ejected or partially ejected because her head hit the tree. Another passenger suffered major injuries while the 22-year old driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The injured people were taken to a nearby hospital where they were treated.
Officials are investigating to determine why this vehicle spun out of control, killing one of the passengers. They are checking to see if the driver was negligent, the vehicle had a mechanical malfunction or something was in the road.
If the investigation determines that the driver was at fault, the family of the deceased victim should contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney to seek compensation for all expenses, including the funeral, medical, etc. If there was mechanical malfunction, the auto manufacturer may be held liable.
