Man killed while crossing the freeway

A 23-year old Barstow man, attempting to cross Interstate 15 on foot the other night, ran directly in front of a vehicle and was killed when the vehicle struck him. The driver was unable to avoid hitting the pedestrian.

The man was thrown through the air and landed on the right shoulder of the freeway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured. The California Highway Patrol is investigating to determine why the man was crossing the freeway late that night. Depending on the outcome of their investigation, the family of the victim should contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney to determine if they can be compensated for their loss.
