For unknown reasons a 22-year old woman stopped her vehicle in a lane on Interstate 60 in Ontario the other night. She stepped out of her car.
Inside was her 4-year old daughter. A U-Haul truck crashed into the vehicle from behind, throwing the woman into the road and killing her daughter who was restrained in a car seat.
An investigation is underway to discover why the woman got out of her car. Officials are wondering if her vehicle could have stalled. They are wondering if the truck driver was speeding, tired or just negligent.
If it is determined that the truck driver was at fault, he or she can be held liable for the two wrongful deaths. It would be wise for the family of the victims to consult with an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney to learn their options and protect their legal rights.
