Coping with Your Injuries: How a Pedestrian Accident Attorney in Riverside Can Help

Did you know that there are thousands of pedestrians who die or are seriously injured in accidents with motor vehicles every year? In California, pedestrians always have the right of way, but drivers don't always follow that rule when they are on the road. When a driver isn't paying attention to the conditions or driving too quickly to see someone in the road and hits them, they are liable for the injuries that occur. If you or someone that you love has been involved in an accident with a car, you need the help of a pedestrian accident attorney in Riverside. Trying to manage the costs associated with your injuries and being out of work can be stressful, but the right attorney can help you cope.

Electronics & child pedestrians

Child pedestrians are now involved in accidents while being distracted by cell phones and other mobile devices while walking. Experts advise that parents supervise their children while walking, and teach children about safe walking practices. This can help decrease the number of child pedestrian accidents. One of the most important things that you could do to keep yourself safe while walking is to avoid the use of all electronic devices while walking. In fact, pedestrian accidentattorneys absolutely do not advise texting, or using an MP3 player, or playing a video game while walking.

Pedestrian accident can be fatal

Whenever an automobile collides with a pedestrian, the chances are that the pedestrian will be severely injured, if not killed. Even if the vehicle was not traveling at a high freeway speed, a pedestrian accident can result in severe injuries, such as broken bones, fractures, back injuries, paralysis, or brain damage.
